Stephen Perse school visit

59 children came for a school visit to look at farming and storage of grain. They looked at the Combines, Cat challenger, and Fendt tractors and sat in the seats. Then they went to the grainstore laboratory to see the grain being processed and flour made. Next they then went onto the grain hospital and storage.

Our new farm has had some new land drainage to modernise the drainage for the next generation. An extensive plastic drains and gravel tops have been installed. The big field is going into sugar beet for the first time in its life. Drainage was carried out using a large trenching machine and gravel cart, natural springs in sand pockets where found. Hoping the drainage will last another 3 generations.
